The company says there is no immediate plans to build <br /> fiber to residential neighborhoods, although local people are hopeful that this might someday happen <br /> since there is fiber being built in other Consolidated markets. The company will sell a business-class <br /> fiber connection to residents today, but that usually means playing a hefty connection fee along with <br /> higher monthly rates. <br /> Consolidated is not willing to share fiber maps for both competitive and security reasons. The company <br /> has built a significant amount of fiber in the last two years to reach business districts.
