CenterFuse Broadband Feasibility Report <br /> Schoolwork from Home <br /> 30% of respondents had children at home that needed the Internet to do schoolwork. 36%of <br /> respondents said they that the home broadband was unsatisfactory for doing online schoolwork. <br /> Satisfaction with Existing Broadband <br /> We got a mixed response on the question of satisfaction with broadband speeds. When asked the <br /> question "Using a scale of 1 to 5 where 1 is very dissatisfied and 5 is very satisfied, please rate <br /> your internet service provider on Internet speeds", 22% of respondents are responded with a 1 or <br /> 2 rating, meaning they are dissatisfied. <br /> But we also asked the question, "Are you happy with the Internet speeds you have in your home <br /> today", 43%of respondents answered no to that question—twice as many than those saying they <br /> were dissatisfied with Internet speeds on the 1 to 5 scale, <br /> 18% of respondents are unsatisfied with the customer service from their ISP while 48% are <br /> satisfied. <br /> 29% of respondents say that they are unsatisfied with the value they get from their ISP compared <br /> to the price they pay while 34%are satisfied. <br /> 18% report overall dissatisfaction with their ISP while 44% say they are satisfied with their ISP. <br /> Understanding Speeds <br /> 66% of customers didn't know the download speed they are supposed to be receiving. 85% <br /> didn't know the upload speeds they should be receiving. <br /> Impact of the Pandemic <br /> When asked how the pandemic has changed Internet usage, respondents replied: <br /> • A lot more use 37% <br /> • More use 16% <br /> • No change 46% <br /> • Less use 1% <br /> When asked how respondents anticipate that Internet usage will change at the end of the <br /> pandemic, respondents replied: <br /> • A lot more use 14% <br /> • More use 10% <br /> • No change 57% <br /> • Less use 10% <br /> • A lot less use 2% <br /> Page 23 <br />
