Akana will provide a National Association of Corrosion Engineers (NACE) certified Level <br />3 Coating Inspector for the paint removal and reapplication activities. Coating inspection <br />activities include: <br />• Inspection of paint removal to SSPC-SP 10 Near White Metal Blast Cleaning for <br />all steel members to be recoated <br />Inspection of application of new paint coating system including the prime, stripe <br />and finish coat for all steel members to be coated <br />• Monitor and document the Contractor's work and daily activities for compliance <br />with approved Contract Documents. Complete daily reports for project records <br />and coordinate with the County and Contractor, as needed <br />• Monitor the Contractor's quality control processes for the work performed. <br />• Observe material, workmanship and construction activities for compliance with <br />the Contract Documents and applicable codes and notify the Contractor of <br />noncompliance. Advise the Engineer -of -Record and the County of all non- <br />conforming work observed <br />Assumptions: <br />• The County will serve as Construction Manager for the project. <br />The County will lead coordination of inspection services between the Contractor, <br />KPFF and Akana. KPFF and Akana will only perform construction inspection <br />tasks described within this scope of work. <br />4 Inspection of steel repair, concrete repair and paint removal/reapplication <br />assumes use of Contractor supplied platforms and/or scaffolding. Contractor will <br />provide all required personal -protective -equipment (PPE) required for <br />inspections. PPE will conform to the most current local, state and federal <br />regulations. <br />Construction and construction inspection will conform to the WSDOT Standard <br />Specifications for Road, Bridge and Municipal Construction and the WSDOT <br />Construction Manual. <br />• For scoping purposes, the level of effort is assumed to be: <br />o KPFF: steel repair, concrete repair, expansion joint repair <br />■ One (1) full-time inspector for up to (15) days total. <br />■ Fifteen (15) Inspector Daily Reports <br />o Akana: paint inspection <br />■ One (1) full-time inspector for up to forty (40) working days <br />■ Forty (40) Inspector Daily Reports <br />Deliverables: <br />• Inspection Services <br />• Inspector Daily Reports (PDF) <br />
