KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />AGENDA DATE: <br />ACTION REQUESTED: <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />May 4, 2021 <br />Request to approve a Resolution to establish County <br />Road Project (CRP) number supporting the <br />reconstruction of Hungry Junction Road <br />BACKGROUND: Kittitas County has been selected to receive <br />$3,631,500.00 from the Rural Arterial Program <br />(RAP) for the reconstruction of Hungry Junction <br />Road. The roadway is narrow and is showing areas <br />of significant pavement distress. This existing <br />pavement will be removed and replaced. There are <br />also four vertical curve which are to be <br />reconstructed to improve sight distance. The <br />roadway is also to be widened with additional safety <br />improvements such as guardrail and flattening of <br />slopes. This project proposes to reconstruct from <br />mile point 0.0 to mile point 1.74. <br />INTERACTION: <br />Public Works <br />RECOMMENDATION: Approve the Resolution establishing a County Road <br />Project (CRP) number supporting the reconstruction <br />of Hungry Junction Road. <br />HANDLING: Return one (1) original to Public Works <br />ATTACHMENTS: Resolution establishing CRP No. 304-20 <br />LEAD STAFF: Joshua Fredrickson, County Engineer <br />
