Technology Policy 1 -Traininq and Enforcement <br />1.Traininq and Enforcement <br />1.1 Summary <br />Computer information systems are an integral part of Kittitas County's daily operation.These <br />policies have been recommended by the IT Committee and approved by the Board of <br />County Commissioners (EOCCBoCC)in-eFder-to: <br />•Maintain the systems used to provide services to the citizens of Kittitas County and <br />protect the substantial human and financial resources invested to create and <br />maintain these systems. <br />•Safeguard the information contained within these systems. <br />•Minimize business and legal risk. <br />1.2 References <br />•Personnel Policy Manual <br />•Records management policy and procedures <br />You must adhere to the Kittitas County {KG-)-Technology Policies and all related <br />administrative policies including employee conduct and rights,records management, <br />confidentiality,privacy,and security of County technology assets. <br />1.3 Definitions <br />None. <br />1.4 Policy <br />1.4.1 Administration <br />The KGKittitas County IT Director is responsible for the administration of the Technology <br />Policies. <br />1.4.2 Violations <br />If you violate Technology Policies you may be subject to progressive discipline (including <br />termination),revoked network access,and criminal investigation in accordance with Kittitas <br />County policy and applicable laws.(CJIS 5.9 §5.12.4) <br />1.4.3 IT Exemption <br />KGIT employees are exempt from these Technology Policies only as is-necessary to <br />administer and secure the network systems and infrastructure under the direction of the IT <br />Director. <br />1.4.4 Traininq <br />2
