Priority 5: Bridge Rail Improvements – Code 1 <br />Phase 1- County Maintenance Districts A-D <br />• 2 bridges or structures <br />Phase 2- County Maintenance District E <br />• 1 bridge or structure <br />Phase 3- County Maintenance Districts F-L <br />• 15 bridges or structures <br /> <br />These bridges were identified with lower risk because they feature bridge rail and approaches; however, the rail <br />and/or approaches and terminal do not meet WSDOT’s current standards for crashworthiness and will need to be <br />upgraded to maintain adequate protection for errant vehicles. There are 18 bridges and/or structures that have been <br />rated as Code 1. These structures have rail and approaches yet do not meet code.
