Cook, PE Director <br />EXHIBIT A <br />SCOPE OF WORK <br />_Ginkgo State Park Parking Lot Improvement <br />Vantage Highway Milepost 25.75 <br />Washington State Parks (STATE) desires to make improvements to their parking lot serving <br />Ginkgo State Park adjacent to Vantage Highway. The parking lot is located at approximate <br />milepost 25.75 on the north side of Vantage Highway. The parking lot is currently gravel with <br />one access at the eastern side, a solar powered charging station and pit toilet are also on the site. <br />The project is to be completed in two phases. Phase I includes engineering and design of the <br />parking lot improvement. Phase II is construction support of said improvements. Phase II will be <br />authorized by Washington State Parks providing work can be completed by June 30, 2021. <br />Kittitas County Public Works (KCPW), shall provide professional services to the Washington <br />State Parks for the Ginkgo State Park Parking Lot Improvement project (PROJECT) as outlined <br />in the Work Task descriptions below. The following general provisions/assumptions have been <br />made: <br />A. Work conducted will meet STATE design standards. <br />B. It is anticipated that one (1) bid package including plans and estimate will be prepared for <br />all elements of the PROJECT. <br />C. Specifications for construction will use Washington Department of Transportation <br />Standard Specifications for Road, Bridge, and Municipal Construction 2021. <br />D. Project specific specifications are not anticipated. <br />E. All necessary permits will be obtained by STATE <br />F. The STATE shall pay all fees for permitting, advertising or other associated fees <br />necessary for the PROJECT. <br />G. No federal funds shall be used in design or construction of the PROJECT. <br />H. All calculations, analyses, design, plans, specifications, and other project work will be <br />prepared in English units. The use of metric units for any aspect of the work will not be <br />required. <br />I. It is understood and agreed that tasks may be added or deleted from the scope of services <br />by mutual agreement between the STATE and KCPW. <br />J.
