"Destinations have realized the importance of developing brand
equity and have been aggressively applying the branding theory into their destination
development practices" (Almeyda-Ibifiez & George, 2017).It is this impoftance of
branding for tourism that resulted in the idea to develop a logo and promotional
brochure for the Disc Golf Course, in addition to ensuring comprehensive information
being posted to the National Disc Golf Association website.
Amenities with no advertisernent may be completely unknown to greater public and
thereby severely under-used. By upgrading the Disc Golf Course signage and
advertisement, we anticipate additional park users and visitors to Kittitas County.
The proposed park amenities will be included in our asset management program, and
will be maintained over their functional lives by the City's Public Works Department.
The Disc Golf brochures will be printed and distributed as described in #l above, but
we will also retain the digital files for future updates, and will have an adequate stock
of extra brochures printed initially to maintain the supply for at least ayear.
Trail counters will be inventoried along with other City equipment and will be stored
and maintained per manufacturer's recommendations.
