The museum has been open just 5 years and is in Kittitas County up on <br />Snoqualmie Pass, at The Pass Life development rrext to the Summit ski area, <br />ideally situated in between ttan extremely popular venues: Commoni,r,ealth <br />restaurant and Dru Bru brewery. <br />The current Board of Directors for WSSSM includes: <br />. Dave Moffett. Founder & President, fornrer Olryner of The Summit at Snoqualmie <br />. Kirby Gilbert, Vjce President & Ski Historian <br />. Leeds Chamberlain, Secretary, Museologist, specialist in teaching women to ski <br />. Deb Armslrong, Ski lnstructor & Coach and Olympic Gold Medal Winner <br />. John Forsen, Video/Movie Producer & Director, and life-long skier <br />. Christie King, WSSSM volunteer & marketing expert <br />. Guy Lawrence. General Manager, The Summit at Snoqualmie <br />. John W. Lundin, Ski Historian, and author of ''Early Skiing on Snoqualmie Pass" <br />. Louell Skoog, Ski Mountaineering Epert <br />. John Sutherland, WSSSM volunteer & ski and resort industry veteran <br />. Hugh Armstrong, Co-Founder & Emeritr-rs Board Member <br />. Dollie Armstrong, Co-Founder & Emeritus Board Menrber <br />As a non-profit, WSSSM has developed broad and consistent support from 320 <br />individual and corporate donors across the state, including The Summit at <br />Snoqualmie, Northuest Winter Sports Foundation, Ski Washington, K2 Skis, <br />Mervin, and more. <br />The museunr does not charge admission (aliaays FREE) and is a story-telling <br />museum, digital hands-on museum. with our most popular exhibits on our State's <br />Olympians, Washington Snow Sports Venues (ski area map), Ski Manufaciurers, <br />Ski Mountaineering, Outdoors for All For-rndation, Nordic arrd Alpine Traditions, <br />Avalanche Dogs, and nrore. The museum is run and staffed by 1-2paid staffand <br />volunteers who put in over 2,700 volunteer hours each year. <br />Over the last fewyears, \/e have done nrarketing partnerships for in person events <br />at our own mLlseum as ia,ell as those outside the museurn. Most of the marketing <br />efforts for these events have been via postcard, email, lvebsite, and social media. <br />lf granted, if plan to use the lodging tax funds for our first-ever paid targeted <br />internet, social media, and print campaign to support three marketing effortst <br />1.
