I ntrastructure for Rebuilding America (INFRA) bi iit,
Approximately, 10 percent of available funds are reserved for small projects, and 90 percent of funds are
reserved for large projects.
To qualify as a large project, the minimum grant request must be at least $25 million and the minimum project
size must be the lesser of $100 million; 30 percent of a State's FY 2020 Federal -aid apportionment if the
project is located in one State; or 50 percent of the larger participating State's FY 2020 apportionment for
projects located in more than one State. For a small project, including both construction awards and project
development awards, the grant must be at least $5 million. Previously incurred costs will be counted toward
the minimum project size requirement only if they were eligible project costs and were expended as part of
the project for which the applicant seeks funds.
INFRA grants may be used for up to 60 percent of future eligible project costs. Other Federal assistance may
satisfy the non -Federal share requirement for an INFRA grant, but total Federal assistance for a project
receiving an INFRA grant may not exceed 80 percent of future eligible project costs. Non -Federal sources
include State funds originating from programs funded by State revenue, local funds originating from State or
local revenue -funded programs, private funds or otherfunding sources of non -Federal origins. DOT is seeking
applications for projects that exceed the minimum non -Federal cost share requirement.
Contact Information
Paul Baumer
(202)366-1092
paul.baumer@dot.gov
httos://www.transi)ortati on.gov/bu i Id america/financi n¢/infra-grants/i nfrastructure-rebuilding-america
