4.1 Collaboration *Throughout the year, the KCHM hosts special exhibits, programs, and events to promote the topic of a particular exhibit. We work Wth local businesses and other non-profits to co-market these events which increase exposure for both parties. We anlicipate many of the same partnerships for lhe 2021 year as previously, but due to the uncertainty of events, rrve will adapt our collaborative efforts accordingly. ln the past and present, u,e have sought assistance with the Kittitas County Chamber of Commerce, wtrich has been beneficial. Through co-sponsoring events, having a booth, etc,, we have increased our presence at events throughout Kittitas County. We expect to continue expanding our community presence in 2A21 . We partner with organizations to provide e*ribits, inlormation, or provide involvement that helps lo enhance community events. A few of those are: Spirit of the West Co\.4/boy Gathering: An e*ribit on cowboy culture and venue: Cruisin'lor Hospice Car Show: Provide antique andlor cars for display; Jaa.in lhe Valley: Exhibit on local music history plus a children's activity; Ellensburg Rodeo/Kittitas County Fair: E*ribit on event history and provide historical photos and information for display at the event; Ellensburg Film Festival: Venue for movie shora,ings; Moments to Remember: An annual exhibit that focuses on an aspect of local nostalgia; and Puget Sound Energy Wild Horse Wind Farm: ltems loaned for annual display and partnership for the annual Ellensburg Rodeo Parade. Walking Tours: Partnership with Gallery One Visual Arts Center, Ellensburg Downtouin Association, Haunting Ellensburg, Yakima River Canyon Bird Fest, Central Washington University. and more. to provide themed ualking tours in and around Ellensburg. We serve as a resource for historical artifacts, photographs, and information for events such as new businesses, local events, individuals doing research, and more. We also provide space for evenls and host activities for statewide organizations. We partner with businesses and organizations for our exhibits and programming lron Horse Breuery, Roslyn Museum, the Northern Kittitas County Historical Society, Thorp Mill, the Cascade Association of Museums and History. the Washington Museum Association, and other local and regional events. Our annual Lecture Series is nrade possible through the Humanities Washington Speakers Bureau and potential partnerships with local and regional groups, like CWU, Mountains to Sound Greenrmy, and more. 2500 character linit
