4.1 Collaboration *Throughout the year, the KCHM hosts special exhibits, programs, and events to <br />promote the topic of a particular exhibit. We work Wth local businesses and other <br />non-profits to co-market these events which increase exposure for both parties. We <br />anlicipate many of the same partnerships for lhe 2021 year as previously, but due <br />to the uncertainty of events, rrve will adapt our collaborative efforts accordingly. <br />ln the past and present, u,e have sought assistance with the Kittitas County <br />Chamber of Commerce, wtrich has been beneficial. Through co-sponsoring events, <br />having a booth, etc,, we have increased our presence at events throughout Kittitas <br />County. We expect to continue expanding our community presence in 2A21 . <br />We partner with organizations to provide e*ribits, inlormation, or provide <br />involvement that helps lo enhance community events. A few of those are: <br />Spirit of the West Co\.4/boy Gathering: An e*ribit on cowboy culture and venue: <br />Cruisin'lor Hospice Car Show: Provide antique andlor cars for display; <br />Jaa.in lhe Valley: Exhibit on local music history plus a children's activity; <br />Ellensburg Rodeo/Kittitas County Fair: E*ribit on event history and provide <br />historical photos and information for display at the event; <br />Ellensburg Film Festival: Venue for movie shora,ings; <br />Moments to Remember: An annual exhibit that focuses on an aspect of local <br />nostalgia; and <br />Puget Sound Energy Wild Horse Wind Farm: ltems loaned for annual display and <br />partnership for the annual Ellensburg Rodeo Parade. <br />Walking Tours: Partnership with Gallery One Visual Arts Center, Ellensburg <br />Downtouin Association, Haunting Ellensburg, Yakima River Canyon Bird Fest, <br />Central Washington University. and more. to provide themed ualking tours in and <br />around Ellensburg. <br />We serve as a resource for historical artifacts, photographs, and information for <br />events such as new businesses, local events, individuals doing research, and <br />more. We also provide space for evenls and host activities for statewide <br />organizations. <br />We partner with businesses and organizations for our exhibits and programming <br />lron Horse Breuery, Roslyn Museum, the Northern Kittitas County Historical <br />Society, Thorp Mill, the Cascade Association of Museums and History. the <br />Washington Museum Association, and other local and regional events. <br />Our annual Lecture Series is nrade possible through the Humanities Washington <br />Speakers Bureau and potential partnerships with local and regional groups, like <br />CWU, Mountains to Sound Greenrmy, and more. <br />2500 character linit
