Special Projects: <br />The Posse Barn project should take place in April/May. The bid is under budget, so other repairs <br />and improvements can also be made for a few smaller projects Kady would like completed. <br />The Colockum and HVAC projects in Teanaway and Umtanum are going well. Kady will <br />continue to work with Patti on projects. <br />Executive Session: <br />At 10:15 a.m. Chairman Wachsmith announced the Board would recess into an Executive <br />Session for 5 minutes to evaluate the qualifications of an applicant for public employment or to <br />review the performance of a public employee. However, subject to RCW 42.30.140 (4), <br />discussion by a governing body of salaries, wages, and other conditions of employment to be <br />generally applied within the agency shall occur in a meeting open to the public, and when a <br />governing body elects to take final action hiring, setting the salary of an individual employee or <br />class of employees, or discharging or disciplining an employee, that action shall be taken in a <br />meeting open to the public. No action was anticipated. <br />At 10:22 a.m. the Board reconvened out of Executive Session. No action was taken. <br />Other Business: <br />Kady has met with Rep. Tom Dent and Carl Jensvold from the Rodeo Board about funding for <br />the Rodeo Arena grandstands project. Dent is in support of further funding of the project and <br />will be looking into federal partnerships that might also help this get through. Kady is also <br />submitting a grant request for $1.3 million to finish Bloom upgrades through the Legislature's <br />Local Community Project funding program. <br />Kady has been working with IT on selection of security system to be purchased with law and <br />justice grant.
