TO <br />n F of <br />�� °�e; KZTTZTASi COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />Mark Cook, Director <br />KIMIAS COUA' I V <br />REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS: Kittitas County Department of Public <br />Works Snow Removal Support Services 2021 <br />ADVERTISEMENT: <br />All submittals received after Friday, February 5, 2021 will be discarded <br />PURPOSE: <br />Kittitas County Department of Public Works is experiencing impacts to our snow removal <br />operations resulting from the COVID 19 virus. Attempting to avoid significant reductions in <br />service to county residents, we are soliciting private construction companies for interest in <br />providing time and material contract support supplementing County Public Works snow removal <br />efforts. <br />SCOPE OF PROJECT: <br />Public Works proposes making snow routes available to contractors for soliciting support on a <br />"time and material contract" basis. We are requesting responders provide the following: <br />equipment and operator availability, equipment with operator hourly rates, the willingness to <br />provide primary route service along with the potential providing secondary route service and <br />probable response time upon notice to plow from Public Works. We anticipate awarding <br />multiple contractors serving multiple maintenance districts (attached as EXHIBIT 2 to this <br />solicitation). Responders will be evaluated against one another within the same maintenance <br />district for service award in that district based on review of the requested information above. <br />PROCEDURES FOR SUBMITTAL: <br />If you wish to be considered for work under this Request for Proposal, you must be a registered <br />consultant on the Municipal Research and Service Center of Washington — Shared Small Works <br />and Consultant Roster (www.mrscroster.org). <br />Please direct all questions to Kittitas County Construction Manager Mr. Darren Case (509-962- <br />7523). <br />Please complete the enclosed offer form (EXHIBIT 1) and deliver to the Department of Public <br />Works, 411 North Ruby Suite 1, Ellensburg, WA 98926 by 5:00 PM local time February 5, <br />2021. Submit a sealed envelope to Mark R. Cook Public Works Director, "Attention Snow <br />Removal Services 202111, at 411 N. Ruby St. Suite 1, Ellensburg WA 98926. Submittals shall <br />include three copies of your proposal for service utilizing the provided form(s) found in <br />EXHIBIT 1 of this solicitation. <br />411 N.
