It has taken several years preparing for the implementation of aggressive parking <br />enforcement in Hyak. In 2019, the BoCC authorized parking fines in Hyak and recently <br />took action on the final regulatory item in the way of fully implementing parking <br />enforcement by allowing impound yards in the LAMRID. The BoCC will recall that PW <br />has not aggressively pursued a towing contract in Hyak believing that "stranded" motorist <br />could be a physical risk if vehicle recovery was not proximate to Hyak. The road is now <br />clear for pursuit of a towing contract so long as the contract includes an impound facility <br />proximate to Hyak.
