Within this CIF are planned projects for the next five years,
including projects which have unavoidable impacts to wetlands. Kittitas County is proactively
planning an Advance Mitigation approach that provides a meaningful watershed -based and multi-
faceted mitigation option.
The attached strategy memo summarizes this approach and provides a mitigation business case for
your review. In order to move forward, Kittitas County is requesting your review and conditional
approval regarding the development of an advance mitigation site as outlined in the strategy memo.
Please let us know of any questions, clarifications, or feedback. Kittitas County is planning to begin
coordination with FAA as soon as possible, so review in the next two weeks would be appreciated.
Thank you in advance for your partnership and coordination.
Craig D.
