HOSPTTAL DISINKT #2 <br />KITTITAS COUNTy pUBL|C HOSP|TAL DISTR|CT NO.2/EMS <br />RESOLUTION No. 11-09-20-06 <br />November 9,202A <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF KITTITAS COUNry PUBLIC HOSPITAL DISTRICT <br />NO. 2/EMS, DECLARING AND FINDING THAT SUBSTANTIAL NEED EXISTS AND DIRECTING THAT A LIMIT <br />FACTOR OF 101 PERCENT BE USED FOR THE EMS PROPERW TAX LEVY TO BE COLLECTED IN 2021 IN THE <br />DISTRICT. <br />WHEREAS' the Board of Commissioners of Kittitas County Public Hospital District No. 2/EMS has met <br />and considered its budget for the calendar year ZIZL; and <br />WHEREA$ the Board of Commissioners in the course of considering the budget for 202I has reviewed <br />all sources of revenue and examined all anticipated expenses and obligations; and <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners has determined that, due to increased operating costs for <br />administration, medical services, and other factors the Board of Commissioners finds that there is a <br />substantial need to increase the regular property tax levy rate up to L% above the previous year's levy; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, RCW 84.55.0L01 authorizes the Board of Commissioners, upon a finding of substantial need <br />to approve a Resolution by a super majority vote to establish a limit factor of up to 101% <br />NOW, BE lT RESOLVED, by the Board of Commissioners of Kittitas County Public Hospital District No. 2 <br />that based on the substantial need of the District, the limit factor for the levy for taxes to be collected in <br />calendar year 2O2I shall be 101 per cent of the highest amount of property taxes that could have been <br />lawfully levied in this taxing district beginning with the L985 levy, refund levy not included. <br />ADOPTED AND APPROVED by the Board of Commissioners of Kittitas County Public Hospital District No. <br />2/EMS on the 9th day of Novembe r,2020. <br />Presi and ner Commissioner <br />mtsstoner Commissioner <br />mtssroner
