In 2020, progress was made advancing 12 out of the lb county -wide initiatives and 25out <br />of 34 Kittitas County initiatives. <br />DISCUSSION: <br />This progress report highlights the importance of coordination between Public Works and. <br />Community Development Service to make sure that Hazard Mitigation priorities <br />identified in the plan are considered in land use, critical area, and comprehensive <br />planning activities. <br />The progress report also reveals that many activities are being advanced through Kittitas <br />County's normal work program and that significant progress was made, even considering <br />disruptions, uncertainty, and re -allocation of resources required due to the COVID-19 <br />pandemic. The report also highlights the importance of the Kittitas County Flood Control <br />Zone District and partner organizations and initiatives, such as the Kittitas County <br />Conservation District, the Kittitas Fire Adapted Communities Coalition and Yakima <br />Basin Integrated Plan, in advancing the Hazard Mitigation Plan. <br />FISCAL IMPACTS: <br />Hazard Mitigation Plan annual reporting and specific Flood Control Zone District project <br />funding is included in the Flood Control Zone District annual budget. <br />ATTACHMENTS: <br />Exhibit 1: Hazard Mitigation Plan Report <br />Exhibit 2: Press Release <br />Page 2 of 4 <br />PUBLIC WORKS BOARD OF COUNTY CONvIIvIISSIONERS WORK SESSION STAFF REPORT <br />
