Question <br />on the motion: Matthew Lundh asked if it would make sense for the City to askfor a larger <br />portion to hire personnel to help complete the Coal Mine Trailhead structure project. Steven <br />Harper explained it does notft within the rnatching requirements and the time constraints to try <br />to put that type of application together. Lucy Tenple responded the matching portion the city <br />already has will be more than enough to eover these projects. Mayor McGowan reported there <br />are plenty of volunteers waiting to help once the Phase 2 COWD-|9 Rules go into effect. <br />Hearing nofurther questions, the Mayor calledfor the vote. The motion carrled ananimously. <br />Committee Reports:a. Conduit for Sound System Lodging Tax Grant Application - City of Cle Elum: <br />Council member Steven Harper reported the Lodging Tax Committee has reviewed the <br />application from the City of Cle Elum for $6,000.00 to install the sound system conduit along <br />First Sfeet between Peoh and Oakes Avenue. The Lodging Tax Committee recommends council <br />approval. A motion wa^s made by Manhew Lundh and seconded by Steven Harper to approve <br />the First Street Condait application in the amount of $6,000. The motlon carried <br />unanimously. <br />b. City Park Sftucture Lodging Tax Grant in the amount of $23,500: Council member <br />Steven Harper reported the Lodging Tax Committee reviewed the application for the new <br />struchre at the Cle Elum City Park, which the Kiwanis Club is building. The Lodging Tax <br />Committee recommends council approval. A motion was made by Ken Ratliff and seconded by <br />John Glondo to approve the City Park Structurc Lodging Tw Grant Application in the smount <br />of $23,500. The motion carried unanimously- <br />c. Parks Committee Report - Council member Matthew Lundh. Reported the Dog Park survey will be completed this week or next, which will <br />allow the committee to move forward wi*r the RFP for the fencing.e Reported the existing structure at the Second Street City Park will be demolished <br />on Thursday 05/13/2020. The new structure will be delivsred sometime in June. The <br />Kiwanis Club has been able to negotiate some payment for the concrete work rvith "in <br />kind" funding.r Reported the Hanson Ponds siting for the bathroom is complete. Lucy Temple <br />has marked the location and will send out the required SEPA. Mike Engelhart, Public <br />Works Director, is working on getting the restrooms donated <br />Motion to Adiourn <br />A motion was made by John Glondo to adjourn at 7:07 p,m.
