The separate departments/activities include:
2020 Covid-l9 Plan - The Patch
We are excited to be in Phase 3 and look forward to giving families safe, outdoor activities to enjoy
together in our wide-open spaces. While we may be biased, we feel that a trip to the pumpkin patch is
the perfect activity to get people safely outside and enjoying a small slice of normalcy.
Going into the season, we are looking at the overall "big picture" and looking at the individual
departments that make up our multi-faceted business. But first, an overview of the operation:
o Saturdays and Sundays from 10am to 4pm, beginning September 26th, through October
o Guest traffic is spread out throughout the day, with hourly traffic averaging 100-150 people,
depending on the weekend
r We are a 36-acre farm, located at 618L Wilson Creek Rd
. Approximately 20 acres is used for our fall activities
r All activities take place outside, with the exception of pumpkin/activity sales transactions, which
take place inside our open-air gift shop
Pumpkin Patch
2-acre pumpkin patch where guests can easily socially distance throughout the 30+ rows
Hand sanitizer will be made available at the patch entrance
A wheelbarrow sanitation station will be set-up for guest sanitation of the hard surface wheelbarrows
(much like localgrocery stores)
Corn Maze
The nature of corn mazes is to enjoy the maze as a family and not participate with others, not part of
your group
Our 2-acre corn maze is staffed at the entrance, allowing for occupancy to be controlled
No equipment is used for the maze, leaving nothing to be sanitized
Petting Zoo
Given our inability to sanitize the animals, their long hair/fiber and the repeated touching by guests, we
have decided not to operate the petting zoo this year
However, we will have the animals "on display", in their usual pens, for viewing only
To keep our guests at a safe distance, a secondary fence will be put up about 6 feet away from the pens,
preventing a ny touching
Hayrides
Our hay wagon is open on all sides/top
There is a single row of straw bales going down the center of the wagon. This creates a seating
arrangement where no one is facing one another. Everyone sits back-to-back, facing out
As with all activities on the farm, the hayride attracts families. Because of this, we feel it will be easy to
distance guests from separate families
