Two <br />years ago, the City adopted a new special event permit process to better streamline and support event <br />planners, this process is administered by the Parks & Recreation Director. The day to day maintenance <br />of the property will be the responsibility of the City Parks Maintenance Division, <br />8. Project Readiness: Please provide a detailed project schedule, including milestones necessary for <br />completion as mentioned in question 1 above. On the schedule, indicate items completed and exactly <br />where in the schedule the project is at this time. Be sure to include expected completion date. <br />As stated in question number 1, before starting work on this project, the City Parks & Recreation <br />Department will need to apply for a demolition permit through the City of Ellensburg <br />Community Development Department, as well as take the project to the City Landmarks and <br />Design Commission for their review. ln order to minimize impacts on events taking place at the <br />site, work could begin sometime in the late winter or early spring of 2021. lt is anticipated that <br />the work will take less than 15 days to complete. Since the City acquired the property in <br />September 2019, there has been no new development or alterations to the site. City staff is <br />making application through a variety of grant programs for project development, including a <br />5500,000.00 request through the Recreation and Conservation Office (RCO) for park <br />development. lt is anticipated that the cost of the full park build-out will be approximately <br />51,500,000.00. lf is funding is available, full build out on the park could begin in September <br />2021..
