Of the 96 County bridges, there are 48 bridges that meet the National Bridge
Inventory (NBI) definition of a 'Bridge', namely the abutment to abutment distance is greater
than 20 feet. The remaining bridges do not meet the NBI definition and are referred to as
"short -span" bridges. Regardless of the bridge span length or definition all bridge structures will
receive an inspection, which is in general conformance with the standard WSDOT Routine
Bridge Inspection methods and formats.
A list of all bridges to be inspected by KPFF is included as an attachment to this scope of work.
