08/11/2020 MINUTES 2 <br /> <br />At 10:49 a.m. the Board reconvened out of Executive Session. No <br />action taken. <br /> <br />At 10:49 a.m. Chairman Wachsmith announced the Board would recess <br />back into Executive Session for 5 minutes to evaluate the <br />qualifications of an applicant for public employment or to review <br />the performance of a public employee. However, subject to RCW <br />42.30.140(4), discussion by a governing body of salaries, wages, and <br />other conditions of employment to be generally applied within the <br />agency shall occur in a meeting open to the public, and when a <br />governing body elects to take final action hiring, setting the <br />salary of an individual employee or class of employees, or <br />discharging or disciplining an employee, that action shall be taken <br />in a meeting open to the public. No action anticipated. <br /> <br />At 10:54 a.m. the Board reconvened out of Executive Session. No <br />action was taken. <br /> <br />DISCUSSION BOARDS COMMITTEES COMMISSIONS COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />Tabled until 8/17/20. <br /> <br />APPOINTMENT HAHC – MATTHEW LUNDH COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />Commissioner Wright moved to approve the Appointment of Matthew <br />Lundh to the Kittitas County Homelessness & Affordable Housing <br />Committee (HAHC) as the Upper County Council Rep. Chairman Wachsmith <br />seconded. Motion carried 3-0. <br /> <br />LETTER FORTERRA – UPPER NANEUM CREEK COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />Commissioner Wachsmith moved to approve Board signature on a letter <br />of Support to Washington Recreation & Conservation Office Director <br />Kaleen Cottingham Regarding the Conservation of Upper Naneum Creek <br />Farm. Commissioner Osiadacz seconded. Commissioner Wright indicated <br />he would not be supporting any further letters until things are <br />worked out better. Motion carried 3-0. <br /> <br />PLANNING COVID-19 COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />There were brief updates provided by the Board of County <br />Commissioners relating to COVID-19. <br /> <br />DISCUSSION FACEBOOK WEEKLY POSTS COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />The Board determined for the week of August 10, 2020 that they would <br />share on their Facebook page any Press Releases from Public Health <br />relating to COVID-19, as well as a press release he will draft with <br />the Prosecutor’s Office regarding the 9th Circuit Judge ruling
