BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2020 - <br />AUTHORIZING THE CHAIR'S SIGNATURE ON THE LOCAL AGENCY FEDERAL <br />AID PROJECT PROSPECTUS FOR THE CLEAR ZONE INVENTORY, CRP 301-20 <br />WHEREAS: Public Works has received federal safety funding for conducting a clear zone <br />inventory of county roads; and <br />WHEREAS: The federal funding will be used to inform Public Works of unsafe elements such <br />as sides slopes, fixed objects, and water that a vehicle may encounter when <br />leaving the roadway; and <br />WHEREAS: The project will also evaluate mitigation measures such as removal, relocation, <br />shielding and delineation.; and <br />WHEREAS: In preparation to begin work in the Spring of 2021 Kittitas County Public Works <br />is requesting the Washington State Department of Transportation release the <br />federal funds for preliminary engineering; and <br />WHEREAS: A Local Agency Federal Aid Project Prospectus must be executed by the Chair <br />acknowledging the project has been reviewed and is consistent with the County's <br />comprehensive plan for community development; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners, in the best <br />interest of the public, does hereby approve the Chair's signature on the Local <br />Agency Federal Aid Project Prospectus for the Clear Zone Inventory, CRP 301- <br />20. <br />DATED on this 27th day of July 2020, at Ellensburg, Washington. <br />Attest: <br />❑ Clerk of the Board- Julie Kjorsvik <br />BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS <br />KTITITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />Brett Wachsmith, Chairman <br />Laura Osiadacz, Vice -Chairman <br />❑ Deputy Clerk of the Board- Mandy Buchholz <br />Cory Wright, Commissioner <br />
