KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />STUDY SESSION STAFF REPORT <br />STUDY SESSION DATE: June 22, 2020 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Approve a Resolution to Authorize the Chair's Signature <br />on Washington State Department of Transportation <br />Amendment No. 1 to GM 752 (Interstate 90 and Sparks <br />Road) <br />BACKGROUND: In May 1973, the Washington State Department of <br />Transportation (W SDOT) and the Kittitas County Board of <br />County Commissioners agreed to mutually support <br />construction of Interstate 90 in Kittitas County. A small <br />portion of Sparks Road was omitted from agreement <br />exhibits. The pending I-90 improvements now require <br />amending the general agreement (GM 752) reflecting the <br />new westbound lanes and the required overcrossing of <br />Sparks Road. DPA Caulkins has reviewed the amendment <br />and approved as to form. <br />INTERACTION: Public Works <br />RECOMMENDATION: Authorize the Chair's signature on Amendment 1 to <br />WSDOT Agreement GM 752. <br />HANDLING: Return one original to Public Works. <br />ATTACHMENTS: Resolution; GM 752 and amendment 1. <br />LEAD STAFF: Mark R.
