05/22/2020 MINUTES 3 <br />Shady Brooke. The Tennant approached the County for the purchase <br />because they have purchased another property and need to sell. <br />Chairman Wachsmith moved to approve and authorize the Solid Waste <br />Director’s signature on a Purchase Contract for Trailer #23. <br />Commissioner Osiadacz seconded. Motion carried 3-0. <br /> SPECIAL MEETING EXECUTIVE SESSION COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />At 11:07 a.m. Chairman Wachsmith announced the Board would recess <br />into Executive Session for 10 minutes with Amy Cziske, Treasurer; <br />Lisa Young, HR Director; Chris Horner, DPA III (via WebEx) Jerry <br />Pettit, Auditor (via WebEx); and Judy Pless, Budget and Finance <br />Manager (via WebEx)to discuss with legal counsel representing the <br />agency matters relating to agency enforcement actions, or to discuss <br />with legal counsel representing the agency litigation or potential <br />litigation to which the agency, the governing body, or a member <br />acting in an official capacity is, or is likely to become, a party, <br />when public knowledge regarding the discussion is likely to result <br />in an adverse legal or financial consequence to the agency. No <br />action anticipated. <br /> <br />At 11:17 a.m. the Board reconvened out of Executive Session. There <br />was no action taken. <br /> LETTER LETTER TO GOVERNOR INSLEE COMMISSIONERS <br />Commissioner Osiadacz updated the Board on a letter that supports <br />boutique gyms and fitness studios like Anytime Fitness opening in <br />Phase 2 with safety plans in place. This was sent for Prosecutor’s <br />review. Commissioner Wright suggested some edits be made to the <br />letter. Chairman Wachsmith moved to approve the Letter to Governor <br />Inslee as amended during this meeting. Commissioner Wright seconded. <br />Motion carried 3-0. SPECIAL MEETING COVID-19 PLANNING/ UPDATE COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />Commissioner Wright updated the Board on conversations from Whitman <br />County and WSAC. Chairman Wachsmith apologized for not bringing this <br />back to the Board but there was nothing finalized yet. There are <br />conversations in Secretary Weisman’s Office around not moving to <br />phase 4 for the remainder of the year without a COVID-19 vaccination <br />being available. <br /> <br />Commissioner Osiadacz updated the Board her meetings with other <br />Washington County Commissioners. They are meeting bi-weekly. The <br />Counties in Phase 2 are having success with the transition. <br /> <br />Commissioner Wachsmith updated the Board on his phone call with <br />Governor Inslee that afternoon and asked the Board what they would <br />like brought up.
