KITTITAS COUNTY <br />PUBLIC WORKS STUDY SESSION MINUTES <br />COMMISSIONERS' AUDITORIUM, 205 WEST 5TH ROOM 109 - ELLENSBURG <br />Regular Meeting <br />MONDAY 1:30 PM APRIL 27, 2020 <br />Board members present: Chairman Brett Wachsmith, Vice -Chairman Laura <br />Osiadacz, Commissioner Cory Wright <br />Others: Mark Cook, Candie Leader, Public Works; Dan Carlson, <br />Community Development Services <br />At 1:30 pm Chairman Brett Wachsmith opened the Public Works Study <br />Session. <br />Mark Cook requested to add one (1) item under Other Business: <br />Construction Update. <br />REQUEST TO APPROVE A RESOLUTION TO ACCEPT THE DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE <br />GRANT UPON FINAL DEPUTY PROSECUTING ATTORNEY ACCEPTANCE AND AUTHORIZE <br />THE DIRECTOR OF AIRPORT OPERATIONS TO SIGN ACCEPTING THE GRANT <br />Mark Cook gave background on the Commerce Grant for Bowers Field and <br />the dialogue had on confirmation of the lower grant amount being <br />awarded versus the amount that was requested. Mark Cook continued <br />that this action will allow for Director West to execute the grant. <br />Chairman Brett Wachsmith made a motion to approve Resolution 2020-091 <br />to Accept the Department of Commerce Grant upon Final Deputy <br />Prosecuting Attorney Acceptance and Authorize the Director of Airport <br />Operations to sign Accepting the Grant. Vice -Chairman Laura Osiadacz <br />seconded the motion. Motion passed 3-0. <br />REQUEST TO APPROVE A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE DIRECTOR OF AIRPORT <br />OPERATIONS TO ACCEPT THE 2020 CARES ACT BOWERS FIELD GRANT IN THE <br />AMOUNT OF $69,000.00 <br />Mark Cook gave background on the funding available from the Federal <br />Aviation Administration through the CARES Act and the amount being <br />accepted for Bowers Field is $69,000.00. Chairman Brett Wachsmith <br />made a motion to approve Resolution 2020-090 Authorizing the Director <br />of Airport Operations to accept the 2020 CARES Act Grant Bowers Field <br />Grant in the amount of $69,000.00.
