BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2020 - <br />AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF AIRPORT OPERATIONS TO SIGN BOWERS <br />FIELD CARES ACT GRANT DOCUMENTS FROM THE FEDERAL AVIATION <br />ADMINISTRATION <br />WHEREAS: The 2020 United States Congress has passed the CARES Act providing financial <br />assistance to general aviation airports responding to the COVID 19 pandemic; and <br />WHEREAS: Bowers Field qualifies for CARES Act funding consistent with its grant <br />assurances with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA); and <br />WHEREAS: Acceptance of federal funding through the FAA requires formal Board of County <br />Commission acceptance; and <br />WHEREAS: Acceptance of CARES Act funding will assist meeting ongoing maintenance <br />obligations at Bowers Field, <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners, in the <br />best interest of the public, does hereby authorize the Director of Airport Operations signature on <br />CARES Act grant documents consistent with grant assurances with the FAA. <br />DATED this 27a' day of April 2020, at Ellensburg, Washington. <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />Brett Wachsmith, Chairman <br />Attest: <br />❑ Clerk of the Board- Julie Kjorsvik <br />Laura Osiadacz, Vice -Chairman <br />❑ Deputy Clerk of the Board- Mandy Buchholz <br />Cory Wright, Commissioner <br />
