Proposed Booking Policy Review Process for 2017 Implementation: Event Center: <br />Objective: To develop booking policies that addresses the following: <br />• Prioritization of events <br />• Scheduling plan for Long Range Multi-year Events vs Short Range One-time Events <br />• Efficient use of space <br />• Efficient use of resources(staff, water, and equipment) <br />• Create booking pattern for Fair Space <br />Process: <br />January/February: Develop Draft Policies based on current usage to be reviewed/discussed with focus <br />groups. <br />• Draft Policies <br />• Get review from legal and/or Policy Committee <br />• Present draft to BOCC at Feb 91h Study Session <br />• Schedule Focus Groups <br />February/March/April: Identify Schedule Focus Groups of Users: <br />• Club Rides( Bloom and Arena)(2 meetings) <br />o Barrel Races <br />o Mounted Shooters <br />o Roping Clubs(3) <br />0 4-H Clubs <br />o Misc Equine Clubs <br />• Multi Day/Event Equine Events(2 meetings) <br />o Rodeos <br />o Workshops <br />o Fair <br />• Multi Day/Event Professional Conference/Workshops(2 meetings) <br />o Chamber of Commerce <br />o Backcountry Horseman <br />o Quilt Show <br />o Home Show <br />• Social Events(1 Meeting) <br />o Wedding <br />o Birthdays <br />o Anniversary's <br />May/June: Revise policies as needed <br />• Revise Policies <br />• Get Final review from legal and/or Policy Committee <br />• Present final drafts to BOCC <br />
