05/16/2017 MINUTES 4

RESOLUTION 2017-090 DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION PUBLIC WORKS

Approve to Ratify the Chairman’s Signature on the Washington State
Department of Transportation Reimbursable Agreement for Construction
Support Services.

RESOLUTION 2017-091 CRAB – WESTSIDE ROAD PROJECT PUBLIC WORKS

Approve Resolution No. 2017-091, Authorizing Payment Returning
Previously Reimbursed Funds to the County Road Administration Board for
the Westside Road Project.

CORRESPONDENCE - NONE

ADMINISTRATIVE MATTERS - NONE

CITIZEN COMMENTS ON NON-AGENDA ITEMS

Doug Fillbrick wanted to reiterate the 4 page addendum he had previously
provided to the County at the last Agenda Session. He urged the Board
of County Commissioners to shut down the Upper District Court as he felt
it was unnecessary to have 2 different District Courts located within
the same County.

Pat Kelleher asked the Board to support a swimming beach at Vantage as
part of the Priest Rapids Project. He felt if they were to write a
letter of support it would carry a lot of weight and encouraged the
Commissioners to visit the other beaches in Desert Aire and Crescent Bar
to get an idea of how popular they are. He said a designated area would
be beneficial to the Sheriff’s Department as well instead of having to
go up and down the shorelines.

BOARD DISCUSSION/DECISION ITEMS

AGREEMENT MARION MEADOWS ESTATES DEVELOPMENT CDS

Commissioner Osiadacz recused herself and left the meeting due to a
conflict of interest in the matter.

Commissioner O’Brien moved to approve an Agreement between the Easton
Ridge Land Company, Inc. and Kittitas County for the Marian Meadows
Estates Development Project. Chairman Jewell seconded. Motion carried
2-0.
