DISCUSSION: <br />Providing an exemption for driveway construction — consistent With existing exemptions <br />— may make sense in numerous site conditions. In no case, should any exemption exist in <br />geologically unstable conditions. This could be due to soil type, slope or other mapped <br />geologic feature. Any consideration adding driveways to the exemptions in KCC <br />1 x#.05.060 should recognize the risk of geologically unstable conditions. <br />Cx wthg an exemption to driveway construction consistent with KCC 14.05.060 should <br />also contemplate the cost of inspection services. KCC 14.05.060 creates s an exemption to <br />the grading perniit and requires inspection services without grading permit revenue. <br />Currently, our fee schedule provides for private road inspection fees.
