PW proposes hiring three operators (one permanent and two temporary—sunimer/fall) <br />during this hiring round allowing additional inspection resource supporting CA oversight <br />needs. This action allows PW to task two existing operators into construction inspection. <br />PW suggests having our two seasoned inspectors train two operators and then assigning <br />one to City support. PW will assist HLA inspectors and gather necessary federal aid <br />documentation throughout the life of the project ensuring a clean audit from WSDOT <br />upon project completion. PW benefits by developing existing operators into construction <br />inspectors — preparing them for future promotion into the engineering series, <br />FISCAL IMPACTS: <br />The City of CIe Elum has budgeted 55,040 for Kittitas County CA Services for Phase H. <br />Four months of one temporary inspector is estimated to cost approximately $25,000.
