KITTITAS COUNTY
DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS
PUBLIC WORKS — BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
STUDY SESSION STAFF REPORT
STUDY SESSION DATE: February 11, 2019
TOPIC: Upper County Traffic Task Force
ACTION REQUESTED: Direct the Addition of an Easton Representative to the
Upper County Traffic Task Force
LEAD STAFF:
Mark R. Cook
RECOMMENDATION:
Add an Easton Representative to the Upper County Traffic Task Force (UCTTF).
BRIEFING SUMMARY:
• Current membership of the UCTTF does not include a representative from Easton.
• Residents from Easton are requesting representation on the UCTTF.
BACKGROUND:
During the most recent meeting of the UCTTF, residents from Easton requested
representation. Current members of the UCTTF voted to recommend inclusion of Easton
onto the task force.
DISCUSSION:
Easton traffic impact issues are separate from those in the Cle JElum area but still
experience impact from I-90 shut downs and closures. Inclusion provides a forum for
robust discussion and is anticipated to support actions that could be implemented by
Public Works separate from those anticipated in the original UCTTF area of influence.
FISCAL IMPACTS:
None.
ATTACHMENTS:
None.
Page 1 of I
PUBLIC WORKS BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS WORK SESSION STAFF REPORT
