2018-12-18 MINUTES 3 <br />PUBLIC HEARING VACATE PORTION OF ALLEY – ROSLYN PUBLIC WORKS <br />At 2:22 p.m. CHAIRMAN OSIADACZ opened a Public Hearing to <br />consider the Vacation of a Portion of the Alley in Block 15 of <br />South Addition – Roslyn, Washington. <br /> MARK COOK, PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR reviewed a request to vacate a <br />portion of an alley in Block 15 of South Addition in Roslyn, WA. <br />He said the portion of the road right-of-way does not benefit <br />the County Road System and the public would benefit by it as a <br />result of the served parcels would fall under the ownership of <br />an adjoining property owner. The County Surveyor noted that the <br />vacation shall reserve the rights of the utilities located <br />thereon or that have an existing franchise to construct, operate <br />and maintain transmission lines under and across the property. <br /> THOSE PRESENT & TESTIFYING: CHRIS MARTIN, APPLICANT said when he <br />purchased the adjacent property everyone had assumed that <br />portion of the alley was a piece of it. He requested the Board <br />to approve his request. THERE BEING NO OTHERS REQUESTING TO TESTIFY, THE PUBLIC PORTION OF THE HEARING WAS CLOSED. <br /> RESOLUTION 2018-209 VACATE PORTION OF ALLEY–ROSLYN PUBLIC WORKS COMMISSIONER WRIGHT moved to approve Resolution No. 2018-209, to <br />Authorize the Vacation of a Portion of the Alley in Block 15 of <br />the South Addition in Roslyn, WA.
