KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />STUDY SESSION STAFF REPORT <br />STUDY SESSION DATE: December 10, 2018 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve a Resolution Authorizing Chair <br />Signature on Supplement No. 1 to KPFF Task Order 16 <br />BACKGROUND: KPFF is currently providing structural engineering design <br />for the bridge replacement at Big Boulder Creek. The <br />vacancy of County Engineer and the recent resignation of <br />Engineering Services Manager Folk necessitate additional <br />reliance on consulting services for bridge replacement <br />design — specifically civil and roadway engineering. The <br />original task order identifies the County as the <br />civil/roadway engineering service provider. Currently, <br />Public Works does not the design capacity meeting our <br />original contract obligation. The cost of the supplement is <br />$35,000. The new not to exceed cost of the task order is <br />$208,000. <br />INTERACTION: Public Works <br />RECOMMENDATION: Authorize the Chair's signature on Supplement No. I to <br />KPFF Task Order No. 16. <br />HANDLING: Return one original to Public Works <br />ATTACHMENTS: Resolution; Task Order Supplement <br />LEAD STAFF: Mark R.
