Cook <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Adopt the bylaws for the Flood Control Zone District Advisory Committee and provide <br />direction on the vacancy for the District Two position. <br />BRIEFING SUMMARY: <br />• Bylaws (EXHIBIT 1) are ready for Board of County Commission (BOCC) <br />consideration <br />• A Board appointed member of the committee has missed two consecutive <br />meetings and may now be replaced by the BOCC <br />BACKGROUND: <br />The Flood Control Zone District Advisory Committee is currently evaluating adopted <br />basin plans and is actively engaged on selecting projects for inclusion on the first capital <br />facility plan for the district. <br />The bylaws allow for replacing a member who misses two consecutive meetings (Ms. <br />English). <br />DISCUSSION: <br />Original applicants not selected are attached as EXHIBIT 2 for BOCC consideration. <br />FISCAL IMPACTS: <br />Committee efforts are budgeted for 2018 and 2019. <br />ATTACHMENTS: <br />Exhibit 1: Committee bylaws <br />Exhibit 2: District 2 applications <br />Page 1 of 3 <br />PUBLIC WORKS BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS WORK SESSION STAFF REPORT <br />
