KITTITAS COUNTY <br />PUBLIC WORKS STUDY SESSION MINUTES <br />COMMISSIONERS' AUDITORIUM, 205 WEST 5TH ROOM 109 - ELLENSBURG <br />Regular Meeting <br />MONDAY 1:30 PM November 26, 2018 <br />Board members present: Chairman Laura Osiadacz; Commissioner Cory <br />Wright <br />Others: Mark Cook, Candie Leader, Public Works; Dan Carlson, <br />Lindsey Ozbolt, Calvana Carper, Community Development Services; and <br />Three (3) Members of the Public <br />At 2:04 pm Chairman Osiadacz opened the Public Works Study Session. <br />No additional agenda items were added. <br />FLOOD CONTROL ZONE DISTRICT ADVISORY COMMITTEE BYLAWS APPROVAL AND <br />DISTRICT NO. 2 VACANCY <br />Mark Cook presented the bylaws that were discussed and approved by <br />the Flood Control Zone District Advisory Committee at the September <br />meeting. Bylaws were approved as presented. Mark Cook stated that <br />a current member of the committee has not attended any meeting <br />since appointment. Mark Cook continued that the committee members <br />would like to reappoint a new member to take that position. <br />Discussion held. Commissioner Wright made a motion to appoint <br />Jeremy Clark to the Flood Control Zone District Advisory Committee <br />with Chairman Osiadacz seconding the motion. Motion passed 2-0. <br />Mark Cook stated he will notice the new member of his appointment. <br />FLOOD CONTROL ZONE DISTRICT ACQUISITION OF TAX PARCEL 21998 <br />DISCUSSION <br />Mark Cook stated he was recently approached to help facilitate a <br />demonstration project removing crack willow along Mercer Creek. <br />Mark Cook continued that after reviewing the proposed project area <br />it was discovered that the piece of property to be used to access <br />the creek is owned by tax title property by the County Auditor's <br />office. Mark Cook added that the Flood Control Zone District would <br />like to purchase the property for approximately two thousand <br />dollars ($2,000). Discussion was held. Commissioner Wright made a <br />motion to approve the acquisition of Tax Parcel 21998 by the Flood <br />Control Zone District. Chairman Osiadacz seconded the motion. <br />Motion passed 2-0. <br />2018-11-26 MINUTES <br />
