11/06/2018 MINUTES 5 salaries, wages, and other conditions of employment to be generally applied within the agency shall occur in a meeting open to the public, and when a governing body elects to take final action hiring, setting the salary of an individual employee or class of employees, or discharging or disciplining an employee, that action shall be taken in a meeting open to the public. No action was anticipated. At 10:42 a.m. the Board reconvened out of Executive Session. No action was taken. At 10:43 a.m. Chairman Osiadacz announced the Board would recess into Executive Session with Mark Cook, Public Works Director/Interim Engineer for 10 minutes to consider the selection of a site or the acquisition of real estate by lease or purchase when public knowledge regarding such consideration would cause a likelihood of increased price. Possible action was anticipated. At 10:53 a.m. the Board reconvened out of Executive Session. The Board provided direction to Staff to follow the recommendation and go with the stated amount with no variables to allow for more security for citizens. Urban Eberhart, Kittitas County Reclamation District, announced the Kittitas County Public Works Department’s application for Flood Plain By Design application for work in the South of Ellensburg came in #2 out of a Statewide list which will provide for approximately 2 million dollars. He said it was a team approach and the Board should be proud of the Public Works Department’s application and said it was a great testament to the kind of projects that are here in the County along with a collaborative approach to solving resource problems.
