FU. LCRU. M
environmental consulting
Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Method 6010 to determine lead concentration in the painted material.
Laboratory analysis confirming low or non -detect lead concentration is required for worker protection
regulatory compliance.
Fulcrum estimates that approximately 30 to 60 XRF readings of suspect lead containing paint or coatings, such
as ceramics, may be necessary to adequately determine lead presence in building materials from the building.
In addition, Fulcrum will collect 10 to 15 paint chip samples for laboratory analysis. Results will be summarized
in the hazardous building materials inspection report.
Lighting and Electrical Components
Fulcrum's inspectors will examine representative fluorescent light fixtures, transformers, and other electrical
equipment to determine likely presence of PCB, mercury or other potentially hazardous materials. Following
the inspection, Fulcrum will summarize quantity and locations of materials identified. Results will be
summarized in the HBM inspection report.
Refrigerant Containing Systems
Identification of building systems with ozone depleting compounds, refrigerants, or other fluid systems will
be accomplished through visual inspection. As part of Fulcrum's services we do not disassemble equipment.
Rather, through inspection, assessment, and experience; Fulcrum's staff identifies presence, type, and
number of ozone depleting compound containing building systems. This information is used to prepare the
relevant investigation report sections and is used as the basis for project specification development.
Schedule
Fulcrum will complete the site inspection within five days of notice to proceed. Fulcrum has proposed to
complete all analysis on a laboratory turnaround time of five business days. Fulcrum will prepare the
inspection report for delivery to you within 15 business days of laboratory analytical receipt.
Fee Estimate
Fulcrum proposes to provide environmental services to complete the HBM inspection services on a time
and materials basis. See Fulcrum's 2016 Standard Rate Schedule attached to this proposal. Our fee
projection includes inspection time, reporting, analytical fees, and reimbursable expenses.
Mr
o
P. 509.574.0839 F. 509.575.8453
Hazardous Building Materials Inspection Proposal 3 406 North 2nd Street
830 North Poplar, Ellensburg, Washington Yakima, Washington 98901
efulcrum. net
