No direction was given. <br />WIEHL ROAD IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT UPDATE <br />Mark Cook gave background on the project and stated that staff has <br />been working with residents for the past two (2) years on a solution <br />to the roadway improvements. Mark Cook continued that a path to a <br />solution was to form a Road Improvement District with the property <br />owners and have the roadway built to current standards. Mark Cook <br />added that after legal review there are a few items that need to be <br />researched before moving forward. Mark Cook stated that the re -design <br />and cost estimating are complete and the project costs are around <br />$750,000, which is an increase from previous cost estimating. <br />Discussion was held. Two (2) members of the public commented on the <br />topic. The Board committed to contributing $150,000 and overage costs <br />for the project. <br />OTHER BUSINESS: <br />EXIT 78 CLOSURE TIMES SET BY WASHINGTON STATE DEPARTMENT OF <br />TRANSPORTATION (WSDOT) <br />Mark Cook stated that staff and Board members attended a meeting with <br />WSDOT regarding the ongoing traffic issues affecting Nelson Siding <br />Road. Mark Cook continued that at the conclusion of the meeting <br />direction was given to him to notice WSDOT of preferred closing time <br />for September 4 at Exit 78 westbound was to be from loam to midnight. <br />Mark Cook added that after speaking with WSDOT they suggest closure <br />from Sam - Spm. Discussion was held.
