BOARD OF COUNTY COMMSSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTXTAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2017 - <br />TO ADOPT THE KITTITAS COUNTY ROAD SAFETY PLAN 2017 <br />WHEREAS: Public Works received. a $54,000 Highway Safety Improvement Program <br />(HSIP) grant in 2015 to update the adopted 2014 safety plan; and <br />WHEREAS: In accordance with Washington State Department of Transportation's <br />(WSDOT) 2017 Federal Highway Safety Improvement Program (HSIP) <br />County Safety Program call for projects, the County Engineer has <br />prepared a Kittitas County Road Safety Plata 2017; and <br />WHEREAS: The Kittitas County Road Safety Plan 2017 identifies prioritized locations <br />for low cost, beneficial, county wide safety improvements based upon <br />crash data, roadway investigations, engineering judgement, and risk based <br />analysis as set forth in WSDOT's HSIP call for projects; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners, in <br />the best interest of the public, sloes hereby adopt the Kitdtas County Road <br />Safety Plan 2017, hereto attached, as now submitted by the Kittitas <br />County Director of Public Works and County Engineer. <br />DATED on this 22nd day of May, 2017, at Ellensburg,' Washington_ <br />Attest: <br />❑ Clerk of the Board- Julie Kjorsvik <br />BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS <br />KITTTTAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />Paul Jewell, Chairman <br />Laura Osiadacz, Vice -Chairman <br />❑ Deputy Clerk of the Board- Mandy Buchholz <br />Obie O'Brien, Commissioner <br />
