BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2018 <br />ADOPTING NEW REGULATORY FLOODPLAIN MAPS FOR 7.5 MILES OF <br />CURRIER CREEK AND APPROXIMATELY 1 MILE OF REECER CREEK <br />WHEREAS: The Flood Control Zone District has created a streamflow model analyzing <br />approximately 7.5 miles of Currier Creek and 1 mile of Reecer Creek; and <br />WHEREAS: The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has reviewed the <br />streamflow model and accepted the floodplain/floodway predictive results; and <br />WHEREAS: FEMA requires the Board of County Commissioners to adopt the new maps for <br />regulatory action; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners, in the <br />best interest of the public, does hereby adopt the Letter of Map Revision (FEMA Case No. 17- <br />10-1541 P Revision August 17, 2018) and directs staff to regulate floodplain pursuant to the new <br />maps. <br />DATED this 10th day of September, 2018, at Ellensburg, Washington. <br />Attest: <br />❑ Clerk of the Board- Julie Kjorsvik <br />❑ Deputy Clerk of the Board- Mandy Buchholz <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />Laura Osiadacz, Chairman <br />Obie O'Brien, Vice -Chairman <br />Cory Wright, Commissioner <br />
