Cook <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Direct that staff submits comments on PUD's pending recreation plan now before the <br />Federal Energy Regulatory Commission for review. <br />BRIEFING SUMMARY: <br />Kittitas County has not submitted comments on Grant PUD's pending recreation <br />plan <br />It is not known if Grant PUD will take over the restrooms following repair of <br />vandalized fixtures <br />• Ongoing parking issues continue plaguing the Vantage Boat Ramp <br />BACKGROUND: <br />The Vantage Boat Ramp restrooms remained closed due to spring (2018) vandalism. <br />Public Works has a grant request pending with the Council of Governments for repair <br />funding. Grant PUD has an update to its required recreation plan before the Federal <br />Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) for consideration. The County did not comment <br />on the plan prior to FERC submittal. <br />DISCUSSION: <br />Grant PUD has not committed to taking the restroom facility over once repairs are made <br />to the facility. The County is obligated to 2025 as a condition of the original restroom <br />construction grant. Grant PUD has created increased pressure on the boat ramp with <br />2017 improvements. Ongoing overflow parking demands continue being problematic for <br />Public Works.
