BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2018 - <br />AUTHORIZING THE CHAIR'S SIGNATURE ON THE LOCAL AGENCY <br />FEDERAL AID PROJECT PROSPECTUS FOR THE UNIVERSITY WAY AND <br />REECER CREEK ROAD INTERSECTION IMPROVEMENT PROJECT <br />WHEREAS: The University Way and Reecer Creek Road Intersection Improvement <br />project will install a traffic signal at this intersection and related <br />improvements; and <br />WHEREAS: Public Works received Surface Transportation Block Grant (STSG) <br />federal funds in the amount of $129,750 for the Preliminary Engineering <br />phase of this project; and <br />WHEREAS: In preparation to commence design work, Public Works is requesting the <br />Washington State Department of Transportation to release the federal <br />funds for Preliminary Engineering; and <br />WHEREAS: A Local Agency Federal Aid Project Prospectus must be executed by the <br />Chair acknowledging the project has been reviewed and is consistent with <br />the agency's comprehensive plan for community development; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners, in <br />the best interest of the public, does hereby approve the Chair's signature <br />on the Local Agency Federal Aid Project Prospectus for the University <br />Way and Reccer Creek Road Intersection Improvement Project <br />DATED on this 13th day of August, 2018, at Ellensburg, Washington. <br />Attest: <br />❑ Clerk of the Board- Julie Kjorsvik <br />❑ Deputy Clerk of the Board- Mandy Buchholz <br />BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />Laura Osiadacz.
