KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />STUDY SESSION STAFF REPORT <br />STUDY SESSION DATE: July 23, 2018 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Authorize the Chair's Signature on the <br />Memorandum of Agreement with YBFWRB for <br />Revegetation Efforts at Ringer Loop <br />BACKGROUND: For the past several months, staff has been working to <br />secure YBFWRB funding support for revegetating Flood <br />Control Zone District property at Ringer Loop. The <br />YBFWRB has successfully secured funding support from <br />the Bureau of Land Management's revegetation contractor <br />working across the street at Ringer Loop. The coordinated <br />work program saves the Flood Control Zone District <br />approximately $36,000 while costing $20,000. <br />We are required to restore Ringer Loop as a condition of <br />our RCO grant in 2017. Working with YBFWRB and Mid - <br />Columbia Fisheries Enhancement Group also improves a <br />small portion of Papineau's land against future weed <br />production. <br />Legal has reviewed and approved the MOA. <br />INTERACTION: Public Works; Prosecuting Attorney's Office <br />RECOMMENDATION: Authorize the Chairs signature on the MOA with <br />YBFWRB. <br />HANDLING: Return one original to Public Works <br />ATTACHMENTS: Resolution; Memorandum of Agreement <br />LEAD STAFF: Mark R.
