07/17/2018 MINUTES 2 <br />COMMISSIONER O’BRIEN moved to authorize the sale of Tax Tile <br />properties and direct the Treasurer’s office to hold an auction as <br />well as enter into direct negotiations with the City of Cle Elum, <br />and to ensure all liens and taxes are included in the purchase <br />price. CHAIRMAN OSIADACZ seconded. Motion carried 2-0. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING WATER RIGHTS – JAMES & HAZEL TREAT COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />At 2:16 p.m. CHAIRMAN OSIADACZ opened a Public Hearing to consider <br />the Purchase of Water Rights from James and Hazel Treat. <br /> <br />ERIN MOORE, WRP COORDINATOR provided a Staff Report on the Treat <br />Water Rights purchase. The total amount of price for the water <br />right transfer is $468,155.40. <br /> <br />BILL CLARKE, SPECIAL DEPUTY PROSECUTING ATTORNEY explained the <br />history of the Purchase and Sale Agreement which had been done about <br />a year ago. He said the action by the Board of County Commissioners <br />would allow them to proceed to closing, which doesn’t need to be <br />done within the hearing. PAUL DEMPSY, ATTORNEY REPRESENTING THE <br />TREAT’S provided a history of the request and said both he and his <br />clients have appreciated the cooperative spirit by all <br />representatives who’ve been involved in the matter. <br /> <br />THERE BEING NO OTHERS REQUESTING TO TESTIFY, THE PUBLIC PORTION OF <br />THE HEARING WAS CLOSED. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 2018-115 TREAT WATER RIGHTS PUBLIC HEALTH <br /> <br />COMMISSIONER O’BRIEN moved to approve Resolution No. 2018-115, <br />Authorizing Closing on the Treat Water Right. CHAIRMAN OSIADACZ <br />seconded.
