7/16/2018 MINUTES 2 <br />2009. Each Commissioner reviewed discussions held with their <br />respective departments and exchanged details of those meetings. On <br />January 3, 2011 the Board determined it would be beneficial to <br />alternate Commissioners that will oversee the different Department <br />Head’s on an annual basis. They determined at the end of 2013 they <br />would review the various committees they participate in and provide <br />beneficial updates to the Board as needed during this time as well. <br /> <br />REVIEW COMMISSIONER DIST. #1 COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />Staff provided copies of the current Committees that the <br />Commissioners serve on. The Board reviewed them and made changes for <br />the new Commissioner Cory Wright. They also discussed his Department <br />Heads he would oversee for the remainder of the year: Tim Egan, <br />Maintenance, Patti Johnson, Solid Waste and Jim Goeben, I.T. <br />Director. The Board also added to Commissioner Wright’s list of <br />Committee’s including the WSAC Columbia River Caucus. <br /> <br />MEMO SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />Chairman Osiadacz requested the Board’s support in drafting a memo <br />for the Board to consider sending out to Department Heads reminding <br />them that they need to upload all supporting documents with their <br />Agendas so that the Public can view everything that is before the <br />Board. <br /> <br />Commissioner Wright and Commissioner O’Brien both expressed their <br />support for the memo being drafted and sent out. Commissioner <br />O’Brien stated another option is that they can each remind their <br />Department Heads that it needs to be done during their weekly update <br />meetings. <br /> <br />OTHER BUSINESS <br /> <br />EXECUTIVE SESSION COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />At 9:54 a.m. Chairman Osiadacz announced the Board would recess into <br />Executive Session for 10 minutes to evaluate the qualifications of <br />an applicant for public employment or to review the performance of a <br />public employee. However, subject to RCW 42.30.140 (4), discussion <br />by a governing body of salaries, wages, and other conditions of <br />employment to be generally applied within the agency shall occur in <br />a meeting open to the public, and when a governing body elects to <br />take final action hiring, setting the salary of an individual <br />employee or class of employees, or discharging or disciplining an <br />employee, that action shall be taken in a meeting open to the <br />public. No action was anticipated. <br /> <br />At 10:04 a.m. the Board reconvened out of Executive Session. No <br />action taken.
