D. All paved road monumentation shall use Kittitas County standard monuments and cases, <br />available through private distributors. A monument as required above shall be placed in paved <br />roads at all points of curve, points of tangent, intersections and as needed for inter -visibility and <br />at the intersection of road centerlines and at the center of cul-de-sacs within plat boundaries. No <br />monumentation is required for unpaved roads except at the intersection with a paved road. <br />F. A signed and sealed statement from the applicant's land surveyor that all monuments and <br />corners indicated on the plat or construction plans have been set and are in good condition will <br />be required before final acceptance of the road by the County. <br />F. All permits to remove, destroy or replace monuments shall be filed with the State Department of <br />Natural Resources pursuant to Washington Administrative Code. <br />G. For the establishment of new monuments, a record of survey shall be made in accordance with <br />the Survey Recording Act, Chapter 58.09 RCW, and filed with the county auditor showing <br />methods used to establish the monument's position. <br />12.04.03.040 Range Points, Property Monuments, and Benchmarks. <br />The following criteria shall apply to all range points, property monuments, and benchmarks: <br />A. All monuments delineating right-of-way boundaries of property or witness thereof shall be set in <br />accordance with this section and all applicable State of Washington laws and regulations. <br />B. Any "aliquot corner" (section corner, quarter corner, etc.), as described in the Public Land Survey <br />System, shall be monumented per Washington State Statutes. If such a corner falls within <br />concrete or asphalt, a monument case and cover shall be installed to protect and provide access <br />to said corner. <br />C. If so desired, the applicant may install monument cases and covers in asphalt or concrete for <br />property monuments, range points, benchmarks, etc., if the boxes comply with Kittitas County <br />standards. <br />Article IV. Geometric Design <br />12.04.04.010 Purpose. <br />The purpose of this article is to present Kittitas County criteria for the design of public and private roads <br />and streets. <br />12.04.04.020 Applicability. <br />This section applies to the design of streets and roads that meet the roadway classification criteria as <br />defined in KCC 12.03.
