Medians. <br />G. Speed Tables. <br />12.04.09.140 Medians. <br />Where medians are provided for traffic control or landscape planters, medians shall be in addition to, not <br />part, of the required roadway lane widths specified in these standards. Medians shall be designed so as not <br />to limit turning radii or sight distance at intersections. Median edges may be either standard curb or <br />shoulder and ditch. All landscaping and other treatments inside the median shall be designed in <br />accordance with KCC 12.04.04.110 Landscape and Urban Design Medians with shoulder and ditch edges <br />shall be a minimum four feet in width and shall contain no major structures (i.e., kiosks, signs) or <br />substantial trees located inside the median for safety purposes. All medians and material in the medians <br />shall be designed to promote positive roadway drainage, avoid ponding and puddles, keep the roadway <br />clean and free of debris, and accommodate effective and efficient snow removal. All medians shall be <br />subject to approval by the County Engineer. <br />12.04.09.150 Alleys. <br />Alleys are utilized for public utility easements and maintenance thereof unless otherwise approved by the <br />County Engineer. Where provided, every alley at the rear of a lot shall have a minimum width of twenty <br />feet unless otherwise approved by the County Engineer. No dead end alley or alley with sharp changes in <br />direction shall be permitted. <br />Article X. Electric Vehicle ChaMing Stations <br />12.04.10.010 Purpose. <br />The purpose of this section is to provide the required design criteria for reserved curbside electric vehicle <br />charging stations adjacent to on -street parking spaces. <br />12.04.10.020 General Design Criteria. <br />A. Size. A standard size parking space may be used as an electric vehicle charging station. <br />B. Location and Design Criteria. <br />1. Where provided, parking for electric vehicle charging purposes is required to include the <br />following: <br />a. Signage.
