Kittitas County Human Resources <br />205 W 5'h Ave Suite 107 * Ellensburg, WA 98926 <br />Phone: (509) 962-7082 - Fax: (509)962-7083 <br />Website: www.co.kittitas.wa.us * Email: hr@co.kittitas.wa.us <br />MEMORANDUM OF UNDERST ANDING <br />BETWEEN KITTIT AS COUNTY AND TEAMSTERS LOCAL 760 (LINE) <br />AMENDING THE SICK LEAVE BUY-OUT PROVISION <br />This Memorandum of Understanding ("MOU") is entered into between Kittitas County and Teamsters <br />Local760 (Line), for the purpose of establishing the following: <br />Article 13.1 of the current Collective Bargaining Agreement reads as follows: <br />13.1 Sick Leave Buy-out: Upon a break in seniority, employees hired prior to August 1, 1985 shall <br />receive in cash, twenty-five percent (25%) of his accumulated sick leave. Employees hired after <br />August 1, 1985, shall not be entitled to any compensation for accumulated sick leave. <br />The membership has expressed interest in amending Article 13.1 as follows: <br />13.1 Sick Leave Buy-out: Upon a break in seniority, employees hired prior to August 1, 1985 shall receive-m <br />e twenty-five percent (25%) of his accumulated sick leave as a contribution to an HRA VEBA account in <br />the employee's name. Employees hired after August 1, 1985, shall not be entitled to any compensation <br />or contribution for accumulated sick leave. <br />Two (2) employees have been identified as bein@ eligible for Sick Leave Buy-Out.
