Here is
what ART will target to provide you for the next review. Let me know if there is something I should add or
delete.
Option IA:
-Review possible square footage that can be added around the existing building up to 2 stories, no basement.
- Provide an average cost per square foot for new construction. Include cost increase factors associated with
structural precautions and modifications to prevent failure to existing structural components.
- Provide cost increase factors working around and in an occupied facility.
- Provide cost escalation to build in 2 years and 3 years
Option 1B:
- same as above but for a 3 story structure
Option 2:
- Cost to upgrade existing building electrical system
- Cost to upgrade existing building HVAC
- Cost to upgrade exterior facade to something similar to the Yakima County Courthouse
- New Roofing not included for existing building
* These items can be used with item 4 below
Option 3:
- provide square foot cost average to do interior demo and new construction for the existing building.
* This number can be used in association with Option 4 below.
Option 4:
- create 2 to 3 different scenarios using items above to determine how much new construction can be built on
the north site for $20M.
- Provide average cost per square foot to develop unused site for parking/ park Provide estimate of overall cost
based on remaining space available once new building s.f. is estimated.
Option 5:
I'll get feedback from our cost estimator on savings available to build single story vs. Multi story
Notes: Construction costs will be an average based on basic finishes and high end finishes ( Courtroom).
